Up on the Roof

Last weekend I spent six hours underneath the bonnet (hood) of The Locomotive changing the water pump. Why? Because Pepboys quoted me $480 to do it - and I managed to get the whole task accomplished with a $40 part and a six-pack of Sam Adams.

Since then, my relationship with The Locomotive has changed somewhat. I've decided to give it a little more love. That's why today I did what I should have done two years ago, and refurbished the elegant vinyl roof. I'll post pictures of the completed project tomorrow - but I think this little procedure will make her look ten years younger.
