Lookin' Good

So Mini Militant is a looker, right?

This kid is undeniably photogenic - or, at least, that's how his loving mummy and poppa feel. Truth be told, I'm sure we're not any different to any other parents who think their baby is the cutest thing ever to grace the planet.

One thing we hear fairly often is 'your kid ought to be in commercials.' So far, he isn't - but we have signed up to things like casting360.com just on the off-chance that something comes up. We're not exactly looking for Mini Militant to become a model; but working in the media industry, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't like fashion gurus and modeling agencies to recognize what I assume is my son's innate adorableness.

We signed him up to Casting 360 because that is one of the best places to get your break in 'the business.' Models, actors, extras and musicians use it to connect to Casting Directors and Photographers; and major companies use it to find the models they use for their next campaign.

It's certainly an issue Mummy Militant and I have discussed seriously - is it fair or right to put your son up as the 'pretty face' of some obscure modeling campaign?

It's a bit of a moot point, though. The overwhelming response, however, has been one of absolute indifference. We'd love to think our adorable urchin would be the next face of savings.com - the home of online coupons and outrageous promotional discounts - but the truth is that our son is just one of the regular people.

And you know what?

Ultimately, I don't have the slightest problem with that at all!
