Bernie Madoff is going to jail, where he belongs.The judge denied him bail, after he plead guilty to 11 felony counts connected his pyramid scheme.
After ranting about the 'two tiers' of justice in America, it's reassuring to be proven wrong: Madoff's crime might have been staggering in their audacity, but ultimately, he faced the same justice as the rest of us.
Madoff told the judge:
"I am actually grateful for this opportunity to publicly comment about my crimes, for which I am deeply sorry and ashamed."
"As the years went by, I realized my risk, and this day would inevitably come. I cannot adequately express how sorry I am for my crimes."
