Not Cricket...

I go on and on about conservative crazies, but it's important to remember that the left-wing have their own loonies - and often the crap they get up to is FAR more offensive than anything the right wing would attempt.

Case in point? Look at some of the Obama supporters who recently heckled at a media appearance by Sarah Palin.

It makes me think of something Messieurs Parker and Stone, creators of South Park, said regarding one of their more controversial episodes:

"We hate conservatives. But we really, really hate liberals."

Just remember, though - It's apparently McCain who's been running the negative campaign.

He looks a bit of a poof, actually.

All this is good fun I must admit. I cannot really remember an American election where the country was as polarised as it is today. The daft thing is that the two teams are very close on matters economic. Maybe that accounts for the divisions? They have to play up social factors.

McCain isn't the only one running negative ads, he's just getting more press attention for it. The figures on who's running more negative ads go back and forth.

From June 3, when the primaries ended, through Sept. 7, the Nielsen Co. has found that McCain ran 76,238 negative ads against Obama, and Obama ran 75,246 negative ads against McCain.

Seventy-seven percent of the Illinois Democrat's commercials were negative during the week after the Republican National Convention, compared with 56 percent of the spots run by McCain.
